Tonight was my first show, my own opening night... Nobody really close to me was there to watch me perform or pat me on the back. OH well.
I have to say, I did good & I didn't let the cast down.
What is significant for me tonight is... I came in late, only 4 weeks to rehearse before I had to go on stage (the rest of the cast started rehearsing in February), I had to wing a couple of scenes, but we ended up really solid.
I like being someone that people can count on. :)

BTW, I'm still in the process of moving, my home computer will be down for a couple of days. So posts might be infrequent.

Glad that your 1st show went on well. I am sure you did good. Last year you said the same thing.

Happy moving ! you are moving to a bigger place ?

Hello from Bangkok !

Something cool to try sometime would be a simulchat. You set up a laptop with a webcam and a mic in front of the stage. Then you can use Skype or Yahoo Messenger to connect with your friends by Video chat before the performance. Then they could watch the play - although as a low res jerky performance. This would be a pretty simple way to let your distant friends see your performance - for free as an alternative to webcasting. There is this thing called Broadcam but it looks a bit more involved.

Congratulations on your first performance. I'm glad it worked out!

Good luck on the move. I recall you posting some photos about an alley improvement project you started - what is going to happen with that?

That's impressive for such a short rehearsal time, but I'm sure they knew they could depend on you.

BTW, I'm still in the process of moving, my home computer will be down for a couple of days.

Priorities! Yes, everything will be a jumble for a while, but you'll have your computer up in no time -- assuming the internet in the new place is working, that is.

Good deal Ms.Rita! Actually your pat on the back came indirectly and more then you may ealize.... just by you keeping to your devotion and making those associate's able to count on you. So... in the long run... it will show that you CAN be counted on... to get "the job done".

As far as moving.... I loathe moving....period. I have so much junk to begin with, that I have to keep half of it in storage at family member's storage's on their properties, my dwelling is packed like a damn burrito!

Have a good un Ms.Rita........ :)

Actually... I have thought about that many a times...and much in our home now is alot of my wife's, we have new tele's,gas grill's,appliance's,etc... all new and in the package's,actually something like 4 new tele's(tv's) still in the box... and just alot of stuff combined. I wanted to have a yard sale... cause it just sit's... my wife whined about it... and claim's it's memorabilia, treasure's, or what ever... she is a pack rat, period. And strick about her stand on anything... when my kid's were growing up... they called mom "Mother Superior", because to try to win any kind of arguement with her... is like pissing in the wind! The girl's alway's came to me first when they had any issue's because they know mom would have her law as supreme and no question's asked, even her mom(my mother-in law Lilia who lived with us) griped to her over it... but she tell's mom what to do to. My wife get's so much new stuff for damn near nothing because she work's for a large retailer, and as a senior employee has access to the overstock's of the warehouse at incredible price's, her and her girlfriend's had a flea market stand they rented out for year's and sold fashion's,and alot of women's beauty accessories, etc. But yeah... I reckon I just let it sit and dont think much about it till times like this.

Good Day Ms.Rita... :)

ranch chimp Well, considering what you say... I'd say you are stuck with it. Unless... you send your wife on a nice vacation & get rid of everything while she's gone. Tell her you sold it & hand her a couple of thousand dollars. Maybe she won't be mad. :)

Actually....she is hardly ever here.... and gone weekend's, and she just went to the Phillippine's for over a couple month's to visit. It is just me and my 23 year old daughter most of the time here... and I have 3 grandson's who come over quite a bit and spend the night... play video game's, raise hell, etc.Doing what you said would not work ... I actually had yard sale's when she was gone for the weekend(she has a business venture with a buddy of her's that require's her gone all weekend ... on most)... when she seen all I sold... and I had a yard full of folk's....especially Mexican national's... who buy all those cheap clothes(which are all new)and take them home to their familia in Mexico,my wife went through the roof! She didnt want the money... she was pissed, and I had to hear it for a couple day's... of whining and whining, my daughter handed me ear plug's so I wouldnt have to listen, and put her's in, in front of mom (we have a kind of sarcastically humorous household in a way). Much of the stuff is in a storage shed in my stepson's backyard.... much is at my other daughter's home out on the lake in a storage shed as well, both have plenty of room. I have also alot of memorabilia type stuff from over my year's... some odd stuff that in many cases is hard to find for those who collect these type's thing's.But yes.... all I can otherwise....I give away to neighbor's or toss.Because you can bet she wont... nor does she have the time.

Later Rita...... :)
