Eulogy To Blogger Buddy Bryan
Update: see more posts from Bryan's friends here & here
Byran chilling out at I think, Atlantic City. August 2008
Blogger buddy Bryan passed away Tuesday morning. I got a call from his Father this morning confirming it.Bryan was a good friend & confidante even though I never met him in "real life". Bryan & I kept each other company by phone many evenings over the last almost three years. I could count on him to always there to lend an ear when I was going through my divorce & starting my new life alone. I swear he never slept! Bryan had a crazy sense of humor, & i got a big kick out listening to his New Jersey Accent. He was my connection to the East Coast.
He could always lift my spirits with his funny & sometimes weird e-mails. You never knew what you were going to open when he sent you a link. :)
Bryan was "spontaneous, funny, kind & weird" all rolled into one. He was one person that I would say truely had a heart of Gold & I'll miss him.
I know that Bryan suffered Physically & was often in a lot of pain. Sometimes when he was esp. miserable he'd say "I don't want to be here, anymore."
The pain is gone...you are free
Rest in Peace, Bryan.

I don't and didn't know Bryan, however, anyone who can be described as you have described him will be sorely missed.
Thank you for writing this, Rita. I need to do to the same thing on my blog and will do so. And it was very nice speaking to you on the phone last night.
Sounds like a good guy.

If that was Atlantic City, he probably grew up a Wildwood guy, and I was Seaside Heights. I have more than a few years on him too, we never would have met. I've been gone from NJ for a long time. I still feel obliged to give him a proper Jersey send-off.
If he was the kind of guy to leave that impression on you, then his leaving just made New Jersey a noticeably crappier place, and that's saying something. When one of a hundred dies, nothing much changes. When one exception out of 10,000 goes, people notice. So long, brother. If I ever get down the shore again, I'll toast your memory.
im glad u got word of what happened.
when a friend goes, the world is just that much smaller.
but we can honor their memory by living our lives the way they should be lived, eh
Hey, is that Gay Bryan that you mean? Did he get any legal marijuanna for his condition? Yeah, that is sad, bummer.
No...I dint know of Bryan, however I extend my condolences to you Ms.Rita..........
