We'll Never Know What happened to Lisa...
Well, that last post turned into an interesting experiment. I decided I needed to delete it, though. In case I ever do decide to run for Vice President or Mayor, i don't want any backlashes over something I put up as a blog post.
Seriously though, in reading about the Mayor of Portland & his troubles video here I'm reminded that public figures are always under scrutiny & every part of their lives are media fodder.
I consider that I am very forgiving of peoples past mistakes & I have no desire to delve into or condemn their sex life. I am also very fortunate that I have a spotless record, not even a traffic ticket. I did spend a few of my teenage years in reform school but I have never tried to hide that from anyone. Personally, I think it might have made me a more compassionate person.
One thing I learned by running for public office & being in the public eye ( albeit in a small way) once you step into those shoes, it's a whole other perspective. I'd encourage everyone to try it just once. Maybe we'd be a little less harsh on our politicians.

Good Morning Ms.Rita!
Well...sound's like ole Lisa just need's to find a new friend! :)
I must compliment you Ms.Rita...not even a traffic ticket is very impressive! As far as the reform school thing...well..
that's what they done back a few year's ago...consider it a blessing dear. Why? Because now they take kid's...say they have an "attention disorder"...and cram them with mind altering "good" drug's, and dont even know what the long term effect's of feeding these, so called "good" drug's will have on the poor children that are forced to take them.
As far as trying on a politician's shoe's? Well...for some of us, that is not our cup of tea...it takes a special type to fit them shoe's. I am one who pick's them..and support's them. :)
As far as Mayor Adams of PDX. I think that our species is too negative about the whole sex thing. It is as natural as consuming food for the day..or using the toilet. Some of these folk's seem depressed too much, maybe should get out a little more and have a drink and a good laugh. People wont believe that Mr.Adams didnt wait till the age of consent? There are many thing's that many believe or disbelieve, the point to me...would be "fact's"
not speculation. I dont see how whatever he likes sexually would have any effect on job performance...unless he was in the adult entertainment industry!
But...I'm just an ole redneck from Texas, reckon it aint my place to say...but I still love the City of Portland! :)
It was the dachshund thing that was too much, wasn't it? :-(
Ahhh they just wanna get rid of'em cause he sucks dick!
If that was a hetero man noth'n would be said about it!
It's all utter crap. If I was a guy in a power seat, I'd fuck everything that moved!
Hey I did and have!!!
Missed da Lisa shit. Send it to me?
The most dangerous kind of politician is one that can't be blackmailed. The best your opponents can do, thereby, is make stuff up about you, but I'm sure there is always a thing or two they can make a big deal about though.
ranch chimpyeah, Lisa's definitely hanging with a wild crowd. Who would of thought? ;]
I never really did anything bad as a teenager. I was just incorrigible. My biggest problem was that I was made a ward of the court & they couldn't keep me in one place. I ran away from all the foster & shelter homes they sent me to, so the State took the next recourse at that time, reform school. It was not an altogether unpleasant experience. It was run by Nuns & for the most part they were nice women.
As for Mayor Sam Adams. If he did have sex with a minor, it is against the law & he should have to face the same consequences as everyone else. Personally, I think the age of sexual consent should be 16 instead of eighteen, but it's not.
infidel Right. I didn't want PETA after me. ;]
Sometimes I forget that what I think is funny or entertaining might be shocking to other people. More likely, they might use it as an opportunity to pretend to be shocked.
You know, that group that uses righteous indignation as a weapon.
Well, Ranch Chimp, those ADHD meds (I've tried a few) are basically crack cocaine, not good stuff to be giving to children at all. I actually developed a twitch and was burping/farting out chlorine gas from one of those pills that I was taking, and that twitch remained for some months after I stopped taking that shit. I'm not a druggie, but I've tried a few different kinds of those meds and they are all harsh stuff.
I've since just decided to stick to my caffiene consumption and very occasional tobacco use, but to hell with all those synthetic meds, I don't want them in order to focus or to be more sociable or whatever, it's not worth it to me.
wally I imagine certain people were waiting to pounce on anything they could ferret out. Every politician has enemies & the press is very willing to take advantage of the situation to make a buck. I don't think it would matter if Sam Adams was straight, they'd try to dig something up.
qf Yeah, but I believe the most backstabbing politician is one that CAN be blackmailed. I fear that might have happened in my case. The politician who betrayed me, the one who was supposed to be in my corner, turned on me to save his own neck. This is what I'd like to think happened, anyway. Otherwise, he did it because he's an asshole. I'd rather think he had an excuse. Because, if he didn't, it was my mistake that I didn't know my enemy.
Dangerous leads to persecution though, as legend says, Jesus pissed off the Jews by being perfectly innocent and by (metaphorically) throwing the stone of judgement all the time. Jesus, like the legend of Socrates, went around pointing out the hypocrisy of the high preists (philosophers/law makers in the socrates case), etc, and then got himself killed for it.
I take it you are done reading Machiavelli? Yeah, anyhow, I just listened to book on tape of What Got You Here, Won't Get You
There, basically a course in improving interpersonal skills (not that you need it or anything), but it is opposite of Machavelli type stuff. Apparently there are a lot of people in management who can't go any higher or are the first to get fired because they are superstitious and they buy into the character flaw type tactics that Machiavella recommends. The guys at the top tend to demise when they get superstitious and start exalting their character flaws as compared to the guys that are more sociable.
Do you want mt to mail your panties back or not? I'm confused. I have no idea how I'm going to get your thong off the ceiling fan.
qf Machiavelli has an interesting philosophy & his works are important political commentaries. He said it like he saw it.
Besides, how can you go wrong by reading classic literature that has been studied for ages? That in itself inspires confidence in me.
bryan ha ha! Very funny.
Go ahead & keep them as a memento or a sling shot...
Make everything on your own turf flows smoothly, but make sure everything off of your turf experiences hell then.
